TAG: The Ultimate Book Lovers Survey

Ok, so I found this tag on this blog, and realized how fun it would be to do it myself. Alas here it goes:

1-Your favorite Book:
I don't have one favorite book, but if I would have to choose, my favorite-favorite book will be The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery.

2-Least Favorite Book:
I can't choose. Usually when I don't like a book, I don't finish it. Or when I feel like I won't like a book, I don't read it. But once again, if I would have to choose, one book that really disappointed me is The Elite by Kiera Cass.

3-A Book that completely surprised you: (bad/good) Let's begin with the Good part, and go for The Hunger Games. I remember my English Professor suggested this book, and I actually thought of trying it out. But when I saw it on the bookstore, I passed it up because I thought it wasn't good enough. Finally, a year later, it was suggested yet again, and I had no choice because she lent me a copy. So I read it, and I loved it! Now with the Bad part, I'd have to name two. I already mentioned The Elite by Kiera Cass, which is a frustrating read for me because I love The Selection. Also, I'd say Feedback by Robison Wells is quite a disappointment, since I was expecting more because Variant ended really well.

4. – A Book that made you laugh out loud:
Any of Cassandra Clare's books made me laugh. Every page has humor. Every character brings humor.

5- A Non-fiction book that you actually enjoyed:
Robert's Rules of Writing by Robert Masello, because I learned so much with that book!

6- A Book that makes you cry:
I actually remember the first book that ever made me cry. It is Be With You by Takuji Ichikawa. But re-reading it, I don't think I'd cry again. So to say a book that makes me cry, I'd say Clockwork Princess, since the story was still fresh. * coughs* JEM! * coughs*

7- A Book that’s hard to read:
Eragon by Christopher Paolini, because it was a long read, and since I have watched the movie beforehand, it has gotten a little difficult to finish without the anticipation. Also, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, which I didn't finish, because it annoyed me. And 50 Shades of Grey by EL James. I read it only because my friend suggested it. It was difficult because I wasn't used to reading the kind of book it was. It was very uncomfortable.

8- A Book you want to read, but never have:
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, because I struggle reading Classics.

9- A Book you’ve read more than once:
The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery

10- The first novel you remember reading:
Sherlock Holmes that my Dad bought for me. I lost the copy though, and I can't even remember the story.

11- The Book that made you fall in love with reading:
Lizzie McGuire books back when I was younger that my Mom bought me.

12- A book so emotionally draining you couldn’t complete it or had to set aside for a bit:
None so far. When I like a book, I finish it. When I either take a break or couldn't complete it, it means I wasn't interested enough to pursue the book.

13- Favorite childhood Book:
It's not a book really, but I remember it from a fairytale book. It was actually an excerpt of Hansel and Gretel. And looking back, there were a few more from that book that stood out. I guess I'd have to say my favorite childhood book is that fairytale book. Unfortunately, my Mom gave it away.

14- Book that should be on hs/college required reading list:
All of Jane Austen's books. I've never read it for school, and I sort of blame my schools for not pushing us enough to read loads more Classics.

15- Favorite book dealing with foreign culture:
Memoirs of a Geisha by Artur Golden. It was a phenomenal journey.

16- Favorite book turned movie:
All of the Harry Potter books, by of course, JK Rowling.

17- Book turned movie and completely desecrated:
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It affected me the most because I really looked forward to it.

18- A Book You can’t find on shelves anymore that you love:
I really don't understand this question. I have one book I've read that I loved but don't have a physical copy of. It's Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins.

19- A Book that changed your mind about a particular subject:
The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. It opened windows for more Dystopian books on my shelf.

20-A Book you would recommend to an ignorant/racist/closed minded person:
Harry Potter by Suzanne Collins. It's just too amazing not to be wowed, regardless.

21-A guilty pleasure book:
Any Michael Jackson related books, lol

22-Favorite Series:
I can't name one. But I'd say my favorite trilogy of all time is The Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking. But among my favorites: The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, and The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare. And of course, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling.

23- Favorite Romance Novel:
I don't like Romance Novels. Maybe Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins? Is that Romance?

24 – A Book you later found out the Author lied about:
This is a controversial question. I don't mean this in a bad way, but I'd say The Fault in our Stars by John Green, because he did made up the drug mentioned in the book.

25-Favorite Autobiographical/Biographical Book:
I only read one, and I'm only interested in one. Moonwalk by Michael Jackson.

26-A Book you wish would be written: A foreign book with a Filipino protagonist, at least half-blood. That'd be interesting because I don't know any, and I'm a Filipino.

27- A Book you would write if you had all the resources:
A young adult fantasy book. I've read from Robert's Rules of Writing by Robert Masello that what you read is most likely what you want to write about.

28- A Book you wish you never read:
None. I may not love every book I read but I hold strong opinions that can help spice up conversations with intellectual people.

29- An Author that you completely avoid/hate won’t read:
I can't name an author, but I'd go for genres: Vampire books, Romance books, Contemporary books.

30 – An Author that you will read whatever they put out:
Cassandra Clare.
