Perhaps every "alternative" little kid dreamt of DR MARTENS at least once in their lives.
If you spent your days, like I did on the Internet, you've probably drooled over DR MARTENS.

You're probably wondering where I got a pair. To be honest, for those unaware, Dr. Martens existed in Manila for years. Some of us just hate the sunlight.
But I was at SM-Mall of Asia, just today (July 16, 2016), and I happened to walk by a DR. MARTENS stall! There exists one near me, and goodness I wasn't even aware of it until now.
As soon as I came in into the store, I went straight for the Cherry Red Rouge Booties seen above. For me, whenever I hear the brand, this is what I imagine. After all, I think this is the classic pair. Not to mention, I'm just loving Maroon these days.
Since it's real leather, it does require some getting used to. I still need to break into these, and it might take some time. Don't worry, you'll have the same problem in every leather purchase you get. You just need to wear thick socks for the meantime. Don't go overboard with the size though, because it will STRETCH! That's what happens with genuine leather! On some cases, I demand a size larger when I buy boots because it's just too difficult to put in, and I need space for thy socks. But the docs will stretch, I'm telling you.
Well, I haven't experienced it yet, but I have that feeling, and I'm quite confident about it.
Overall, I just love how cool it looks when I put it on. And it's definitely a great investment. The stitching is made of steel! (figuratively speaking). I'm sure it will last you and me a lifetime.
This pair of shoes + skinny jeans + leather jacket + band tee + fedora = frustrated stylist 😍😍
But that's the thing, this pair would look good in EVERYTHING. Skinny jeans, ripped or not, skater skirts, and ripped shorts.... *dies*
I am in love.
This is a childhood dream come true.
I just hope I got this sooner, so I could wear it longer.
