Jeffree Star's Beauty Killer Palette

We all know who Jeffree Star is, right? You don't? OH SHAME ON YOU! You dare to call yourself a makeup enthusiast!

Let me give you a little back story.

Jeffree Star first garnered fame from the golden Myspace era. He is a model, businessman, and an artist all in one. In fact, I think he's got a few music videos out.

But I think when we talk about Jeffree Star, we automatically think MAKE-UP. He recently just launched his line, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and yet he has already caught attention from many aspiring make-up artists. But as my first beauty blog, I'm not going to be talking about the quite famous "VELOUR LIQUID LIPSTICK", which the company takes majority of its pride from. I do own a few shades from the highly anticipated product line but maybe I'll feature that some other time. *winks*

Now, Jeffree Star tagged the name Beauty Killer for his first palette from one of his early songs under the same name. The palette was released May 25, 2016 from the official website: http://jeffreestarcosmetics.com/products/beauty-killer

It retails for $45.00 and using today's (July 15, 2016) conversion rate, dollar to peso, roughly this palette would cost around P2,100.00. However, one might consider upon ordering this that the product will be coming from the US of States. So P2,100.00 may not be the total amount you'd be paying for this gorgeous palette.

I got mine through the help of PROJECT SMOOCH, a Facebook business page ran by this beautiful lady (I think her name is Icee?) from Cagayan De Oro, Philippines. This wouldn't be my first transaction with Project Smooch. I contact her via Viber. She's not your typical Facebook shopping page, since she also works as your personal shopper. If you want anything from the US of States, she can get it for you. I say she's legit! I also did get feedback from her that Jeffree Star Cosmetics ships quite efficiently.

If you want to do business with Project Smooth, here are the links:

You can also contact her directly, like I did, on Viber/WhatsApp. Just go check out her number from her Facebook page.

I ordered my palette June 4, 2016, paid June 7, 2016, and received it on July 8, 2016, for Php3,500.00 free shipping. It may be too much on today's conversion rate, but you have to consider the convenience of the transaction. I basically sat down and messaged her, paid at the bank via OTC, and waited until it arrived on my doorstep. I didn't even have to contact the website!

If you want swatches of the palette, I suggest you watch Jeffree himself's video on Youtube:

Here are the few shots I took upon unboxing:

And here's the makeup look I did using the palette!

Very very pigmented! The size of the pan is very generous, and the packaging is to die for! Everything in this palette is worth obsessing over! I love all shades, and I love the formula! One swipe, and you get an opaque color, resulting in a hassle free blending exercise! I can't emphasize more how much I love this.

If you're curious as to the other products I've used creating this look, here's a list for your reference:

*Max Factor X - Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation in Golden 75
You can get this at chosen Watsons Branch at any SM Department Store. I got mine at SM Department Store - Mall of Asia

*Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in place Flawless Wear Concealer in 03 Medium
I use this under my eyes, and I got mine at SM Mall of Asia, right next to the Bobbi Brown counter, near the MAC store

*L.A. Girl PRO.conceal HD Concealer in Creamy Beige
I use this to define my brow bone, and I got it from SM Dept. Store - MOA as well

*Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder in Light/Pale
You can find this at any Watsons Branch at any SM Dept. Store. This is my favorite setting powder. I always go back to this product, so goooooood and very matifying

*Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
There is a Benefit store at Mall of Asia, go find it

*Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color in 212 Concrete Jungle
This is what I used for highlight. Not very exceptional but it did the job. Very sheer, and lots of fall outs. I bought this because I loved their lipsticks, although they're basically beginners in the industry. Lots of area for improvement in terms of highlight though. I got mine from SM Dept. Store at SM Bacoor

*Chanel Powder Blush in 44 Narcisse
I love this blush. Its smells amazing, and I like my blush sheer like this one! I like it very light, almost as if it wasn't there. I got mine at Duty Free Philippines lol

*L.A. Girl Endless Semi-Permanent Auto Eyeliner in Light Brown
I got it from SM Dept. Store - MOA as well, and I love this a lot. I bought like 3 of these, in fear that I might not get the time to buy it again, or worse, they discontinue it

*KATE Cosmetics Eyebrow Gel in BR-1
I got mine from Watsons at V-Mall at Greenhills, but I recently saw they have one at Watsons - MOA as well

*Smashbox Primer Water
I got this from Beauty Bar - MOA. Tbh, I can't tell the difference. I don't like the smell too.

*Maybelline Eye Studio Lasing Gel Eyeliner in Black
I suck at this, but I managed to put a tiny bit on my eyelids. Not very neat though. You can find Maybelline almost at any Watsons Branch.

*VMV Hypoallergenic Volumizing Mascara for Massive Lashes in Black
This is my favorite Mascara of all time. It gives my lashes some extra volume, and it lasts all day. It's so black, and so dark, I love it!

*Nyx Lip Primer in Deep Nude
I got this from SM Dept. Store - MOA as well

*Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Privacy Please
I got this from Project Smooch as well

*******

So pretty much that's it. I realized I should have just filmed a makeup tutorial for this, that, or a first impression or an unboxing. I may get to do that soon, though. Cheers!

Cheers,
LG
