People say a child loses sight of magic as he age. A child forgoes imagination and curiosity as he age. But does it really? Does a middle aged man lose the curiosity? Or is he merely a victim of over-productiveness and societal expectations to make a good living? A child does not kill his imagination as he age. Society does.
What I realized is, it is beyond easy to revisit a child's natural wonder. It is inherent. It is in the nature of man to ask because it is in his nature to think. He is the smartest being on this planet. Imagination, to me, is intelligence. The more intelligent he is, the more he wonders. Yet, why is a supposedly smarter middle aged man lose his imagination if he is deemed more intelligent than a five year old? Because he is distracted by his own schedule, routine, and goals. He does it his whole life that never finds spare time to wonder.
Imagine a thirty year old man, who happens to have a bit of spare time in the afternoon. Would he wonder? No. He will take a nap instead, because he is tired. He is tired because he worked all week. But if he is given an actual free time, a time for himself, then he will begin to wonder. In silence, the mind wanders, and when the mind wanders, he produces ideas. That's why rich people who can afford time, can get even richer and poor people remain poor because they have to work all the time.
So imagine if you have all the time in world, you can do everything.
