This post will bring you to the past month, as I journey along my frustration with ldtp's high quality customer service.
April 11, around 9pm
Initial call was made to ldtp's customer hotline, where I issued a modem replacement. Take note that my modem was a 2009 model. I was given my first reference number, and was told that I shall be receiving my new modem between 24-48 hours (2days). Of course, I did not expect to receive it on the mentioned span time. Instead, I was willing to wait the entire week ahead, just to give them the golden chance. I was infact a loyal customer, and I had full trust of their service. I specifically told the officer on the other line that if they should contact me whatsoever, please contact me through my cellphone number. I was also told that the so called technician will be the one who will deliver the new modem, dismissing my suggestion that I should instead pick up the new modem from my nearest ldtp hq.
Holy week
Since its the holy week, I had to leave home and spend the holidays on the province. It is also common sense that no employee shall be working on these days.
And along the span of two weeks, I've been waiting for a call from ldtp, just in case they come after holy week. I had a backup plan, if so ever they call me prior to my return home, I am bound to contact my Dad who will in turn come to my house to receive the modem. Take note that our account is under my father's name.
April 29/30 (?)
I came home to realize that I had also lost my landline connection. There was no dial tone. And so I called for follow up. This call resulted to an agreement. The officer on the other line and I agreed to expect ldtp's technician on May 3, Saturday, for I said I cannot be available any days prior. So it was settled, ldtp and I will be meeting May 3, days after April 11.
May 2
Having said that I am not available days prior May 3, just in time, ldtp came May 2, where I'm supposed to be at San Lazaro for my brother's vaccination. I received no phone call. At all.
And so I called again. By this time, I had also mentioned the problem with my landline, and requested to check my phone line just in case its the line not the phone that is the problem, or maybe the otherwise.
The operator also said that I should still expect ldtp May 3 on the day of our agreed date.
May 3
Nobody came.
Days after.
Called for follow up. This is where we found out that the problem with our landline is seperate from our internet and was bounced back and forth to dsl to landline operators.
More Days after.
My Mother and I and everybody else are already pissed to hell at this point. Imagine having to live without internet. We had to settle for smart bro hotspot just so we can surf the net on important matters like updating our facebook or twitter or posting pics on ig. Lol
And so my Mom had decided to visit the nearest physical office, to follow up on our problem in person. This meeting resulted to a verbal agreement that pldt will be coming the next day.
The next day.
Nobody came.
More days afterwards.
Another call to ldtp's hotline for follow up.
And this is where we were told that the modem replacement will be put on hold until they settle our landline problem.
And they cannot do it on one day.
I gave up. I had enough. The next days I thought, "Whatever! ldtp sucks and I will no longer wait! They will come if they come!" This is also the point where I've considered other internet providers.
But deep down inside I just want to tell them this: "I DONT CARE FOR THE FREAKIN LANDLINE JUST GIVE ME MY INTERNET!!!!!!!"
Oh well... And then the bill came. And it hurts having to pay unconsumed monthly bill.
Days afterwards.
Finally ldtp came and my landline was fixed. I received no call. They just showed up on my house unannounced.
Days afterwards.
Called again for followup, and was given another reference number, and the cycle begins again. Told to wait 2 days and such. Take note that I once again, as I always, told to contact me through my cellphone.
Days after more.
Called for follow up and this is where I asked again whether I can pick up the modem instead, and was told that I actually could. Wth right? Thanks for the consistency of info.
May *something*
Visited the ldtp physical office myself hoping to get my modem right then and there. Unfortunately, they had no stock and was told that I need to come back when they contact me on June when they replenish their modem stock. I gave my cell number specifically telling them to contact me through my cellphone because I dont freaking care with the telephone, my Mom just refused to discontinue it.
May 27
My Mom and I decided to take the old modem and go to other technicians whether they could remedy it, as temporary internet if it could be fixed, while we wait for ages for ldtp to show up. And so coincidently, we left to look for that perfect technician today. However we came home in vain and also realized, as confessed by our househelper that pldt stopped by that same day looking for the modem because they need it to replace it.
But I wasnt mad really that they just have to come today of all days.
Im just mad that they had to call my landline, even though I told them countless times to call me through my cellphone, before coming to my house.
Because you know what ldtp, I could always run home after I get your call, if only you call. Because guess what I also have a life. I also go to malls, get haircuts, go to school/job. Don't expect me to stay idle at home the whole summer. If only I can just bring my landline with me, right? Oh wait, it's called a cellphone. But no you'd call my house, because that's where my landline is, and right, my landline is yours. Free call, is that it?

So thanks ldtp! Thanks for the quality service!
Oh they also said theyd come back tomorrow.
Dont worry I dont expect it.
Not really.
