I'm waiting

I'm waiting.

I know I'm waiting for something.

I've been waiting for something I don't even remember.

Maybe not anymore.

Or maybe it wasn't really there.

I just know I'm waiting.

And I think it triples each year.

Maybe the more I wait,
The more it multiplies.

Until I have an infinity ahead of me.

And maybe by the time I realize what I'm waiting for,
it could be a lifetime away.

I'd be dead before I know it,
Before I reach it,
Before it comes.

And all this time...
I'll just be waiting.

Maybe this lifetime is dedicated for waiting.
Its entirety.

Be it may.
As long as my rebirth will be worth it.
As long as on my rebirth, I will find it.

Then I will not wait anymore.

I'll just live like that,
A living sacrifice,
For my next life to be so much better than this one.
