GLAMGLOW: Gravity Mud Firming Treatment

I splurged on this, I admit it.

But when Jeffree Star does it, so do I. He absolutely loved Glam Glow, and for the longest time I could only wonder. But recently I stumbled across the same at SM Department Store at the SM Mall of Asia. Initially I thought P3,300 for a mask is too much, but I ended up getting it anyway a couple of days later. Just for the sake of "seeing what the hype is about".

First of all, the packaging looked very nice, coming along with a coffin/diamond shaped box. It came in probably 7 or 8 different colors, each with different focal point (like for oily skin, firming, etc.) I got the purple one, the "firming" one, because I keep seeing this the most. After all, if I'm buying this for the first and last time, I better get the bestseller, right?

It looked like this. And it's actually very heavy. It feels very luxurious. I can see why this appeals to Jeffree Star. He's a packaging whore anyway.

It came with a tiny brush, thank goodness. So I didn't have to find an alternative. It applies as any other mask: kind of sticky, but glides on well to the skin, especially with a brush. I don't recommend using thy fingers. Remember to wash face first!

The instructions said to leave it on for 20 minutes, but I think I went a little bit overboard. Let me tell you this: it is very lightweight. I've used several masks in the past and some I'd say leaves an uncomfortable feeling while it dries off- some stings a little, some just feels heavy and cracky. But the Glam Glow does feel like a feather to the skin. When it dries off, it turns into silver! BEST PART EVER. Looked very cool.

As you can see I'm quite enjoying myself:

Finally, time to take it off. When it dries off, it's so easy to pull it off. Just find that edge to work with and drag it across your face carefully. It's also not painful. It comes off very easily. Given, there will be some residue, but no worries, just wipe it off with a damp cloth, or wash it completely with water.

I don't have an aftermath photo, but my skin did feel very soft. It didn't feel sticky or greasy afterwards. There are times when I smile, I can feel certain "cracks" on certain parts of my skin. But my skin really did feel reborn after using the Glam Glow. I remember opening my mouth constantly to see if I'd still feel the same (sorry I can't really describe this feeling totally). I was very happy with the sensation it left me after using Glam Glow.

Instructions said use twice a week, but I'm broke so I might just use it once in two weeks. I may not get the full effect if I do that, but to be honest I may not even repurchase this. Numero Uno: it's expensive as hell (+tax because it's imported), I cannot maintain the lifestyle. If you have the wallet for this, good for you. I truly recommend you stick to the Glam Glow because it's really good. Watching it dry off and turn silver is a bonus fun too. But if you're an average person like me, you don't need to. You'll live without the Glam Glow sister. I have tried so many masks in my lifetime, and I can recommend you a similar result in a cheaper price. Probably not the exact one, but a good dupe at least.
