The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion

Incorporating K-Dramas or K-Vlogs in your life would eventually lead you to the path of K-Beauty.I've always wanted to try the "Cushion" but I was unlucky for the longest time. Probably evey Korean store I go to has their cushions "out of stock".

When I stumbled across a less frequently visited mall, I jumped on the chance on one of these:

This is the Oil Control Water Cushion in Natural Beige. The packaging looked absolutely amazing. I always just love K-Packaging, so cute! But instead of the more "Pink" or "Kawaii" vibe, this cushion held a more refined design with the Gold accents.

Applying the cushion was so much fun, after all, I've seen them K-Vloggers do it so many times. Patting it on your face with a puff is a completely foreign practice to me. I've never applied my foundation or BB Cream with a puff. However, the process takes forever. If you have the patience, go ahead. At first, when you're still intrigued with the idea, it seems fun, but it gets tiresome after a couple weeks. Also, unlike the beauty blender that has the tip part which helps you get to the "edges" of your face, applying with a puff is a bit difficult when it gets to the tear duck area. When you get past it, you're good to go.

The smell of this product in particular, I like. There's something about it I can't pinpoint. To me it smells like a luxury store, like entering a department store beauty section. It's also very cooling when you put it on. I think it's because it's "water" based? Anyway, it's very cold on the skin which is always nice, like applying makeup in front of a fan. That I enjoy.

The coverage is light? I don't know. But it's definitely not high coverage. It covered what it needed to cover but as you can see my zit (on my nose) is still slightly visible. The good part of it is it's very skin like, and that's probably its best feature. It doesn't look like I put makeup on to be honest, but it certainly gave me the upgrade.

Recommend? Not really.

What do you think?
