This one's for GD

I believe it started with Sandara Park, or better known as Dara in South Korea. It was during one of her visits in the Philippines and I saw this interview she did with Vice Ganda on Gandang Gabi Vice. Vice mentioned the name G-Dragon and I only remember watching the music video for one his singles "Who You". Video found below:

Initially I thought the song was catchy. It sound different from the usual upbeat K-pop hit. And then I stumbled across another song called "Crooked". Before long, I ended up watching BIGBANG songs which apparently he's a member of. That entire summer all I listened to was G-Dragon and BIGBANG. I don't actually listen to K-pop and I don't think I ever will. But I will listen to BIGBANG. 

When I first became a Michael Jackson fan, I dedicated majority of my time figuring out as much as I can with his life. And so I did with G-Dragon too. I found out that he writes most of the songs BIGBANG puts out. I found out he produces the same. And then I found out he's worked with Kenny Ortega and that he did say he saw Michael Jackson in him. He's hands on, dedicated, and perfectionist. He's interested with art, and he sees music as a higher form than plainly entertainment. He sees it as a craft, a talent, and a form of expression. 

Then I found out about his passion for fashion and fell in love more.  I saw style as boundless and limitless. It doesn't conform with a specific shape or perception. I understood his mind and just like Michael Jackson, he introduced me to a wider comprehension of art and creativity. 

I saw something in him I also saw on Michael Jackson. And I think that's why I am attached to G-Dragon. He's always creating. It doesn't appear like a job to him, and that amazes me. I am passionate about people who are passionate. And G-Dragon is.

I don't often use the word beautiful because to me it is the pedestal of adjectives. It is the optimum description. I don't use the word lightly, but if I do, then it appears that it must truly be one of a kind. And G-Dragon is.

I choose who to applaud. I have higher standards among normal people.

I don't just write about anyone.
