There is finally peace within me

What I realized lately is, life is too short to spend it at war with myself. I never craved for a perfect person because my goal wasn’t to meet one, but to be one. I set standards beyond my limits and it clouded my attitude towards life. Everyday became agony because at most times I couldn’t do all the things I wanted to do. I hated the world like a spoiled brat. But eventually I learned that what I was doing was formulating the exact equation for unhappiness. I was too focused on building a resume that I didn’t see that I was pushing people away. 

But now I am calling it a truce. There is finally peace within me.
