WHAT KEEPS ME UP AT NIGHT #1: It's always partly your fault

People always complain about people leaving.
People always write about people leaving.
But no one writes about why people leave.
No one talks about why people leave.

This kind of approach teaches the already self-conceited minds of late teens and young adults to turn to the other person for selfish blaming.

It's always the other person's fault.
It's never my fault.
But think again.
It's always partly your fault.

Loving yourself is never wrong. Thus, defending yourself is never wrong. But most of the time, we overdo that self-love. I wouldn't blame society for this, especially coming from a generation who did the complete opposite.

Writers did what needed to be done, reminding every woman out there of their power. But power, in every kind, is often abused. And I think we've reached a point in culture where it's too late for a U-turn. Take a look around, women aren't only speaking these days, they're shouting. Nobody listens anymore.

So the next time you point a finger, try to listen. Shut the anger and the blaming, and listen. It's there, buried in your conscience, telling you that it's your fault too.
